10 Employment and Income Producing Ideas for Creative Freelancers

Income Producing Tips For Freelancers

Freelancing in the New Economy

As a long-time member of the creative community in Hollywood, I’ve been witness to both rich and lean times of work and employment. Economic cycles and labor disputes have hardened most of us to the occasional period of slow, or even no work, but I think it’s fair to say that most of us have NEVER seen anything like the economic situation of the last few years.

The fact is, the “New Economy” is changing everything. The chicanery and manipulations of the banking and financial industries notwithstanding, society’s transition from a primarily industrial to a primarily digital information economy has had even a greater impact resulting in our current economic situation.

This has created a huge need for anyone planning on staying in the workforce for the immediate future to rethink, relearn and retool their approach and techniques to finding new work, acquiring new customers and maintaining and growing relationships with existing clients. This applies even more so to those of us in the content creation business.

This was my primary motivation for my latest article; Freelancing in the New Economy: 10 Employment and Income Producing Ideas for Creative Freelancers. My good friend Ken Stone of Ken Stone’s Final Cut Pro agrees with me and thought this kind of information would be of real value to his audience of freelance creatives. To this extent he has been kind enough to post it on his widely read site. I invite you to go there and read it for yourself. Afterwards stop by my new “sister site” to Hollywood Reinvented, FreelancerMojo.com. While there be sure to sign up for my monthly newsletter with additional articles, tips and resources for creative freelancers of every stripe.
